NOLLYWOOD ACTOR GOES BLIND
Popular Nollywood actor, Bruno Iwuoha has lost his sight.
The veteran actor in an interview with a radio station in Abuja opened up on his interview with a life threatening disease.
The actor talked about his battle with diabetes and how he has been battling glaucoma for years without money for corrective surgery.
According to the talented actor, he never knew he had diabetes until a violent armed robbery attack that landed him in hospital.
He said “I’ve gone to so many places; within the country, outside the country for treatment, until finally…finally, the thing [diabetes] claimed one of my sights. As I look at you now, I’m using only one sight. They call that glaucoma. And gradually, it’s affecting the other one. So, name make, apart from places…the people who call me a times, both the little cash they can give me…drugs and all that…but I discovered that this thing [the illness] is a lifetime something. And it has robbed me of the job [acting]. And now, if I get a script, it will be hard for me to read it very well. And if I read it, if I strain my eyes for so long, it would look as if someone would lead me around the house or anywhere I want to go because it will affect the only one [eye]. So that’s my problem.”
The actor now needs to be transferred to a US-based hospital where he is required to have N3.5million, and all he has so far is N200, 000
He also said that the AGN and AGN president Ibinabo Fiberesima are yet to reach out to him.

PIPELINE EXPLOSION KILLS 12 IN BAYELSA
An explosion at an Eni pipeline in Bayelsa has killed at least 12 people and injured three others
Those injured include; the men who were part of a maintenance crew, comprising security and environment officials, carrying out repairs on Thursday afternoon on the Tebidaba-Clough Creek line near the town of Azuzuama in the Niger delta’s Bayelsa state.
On Friday morning, environmental activist Morris Alagoa, whose colleague had travelled to the scene, said that authorities were still combing the area for bodies.
“Four bodies were seen floating on the river today as the search continues,” Alagoa said.
Iniro Wills, state commissioner for the ministry of the environment, said that the cause was still being investigated and one of his staff was still missing.
“Three victims rescued are now at the hospital. Two were severely burnt,” Wills said.

25YRS OLD NAVAL OFFICER SAVE COLLEAGUES TO DIE ALONE
This is how Seaman Amaseimogha Paul,a naval officer who left Bayelsa to Borno state to help fight Boko Haram ensured he died alone after stepping on a landmine and then telling his colleagues to stay far away from the area while he tried to detonate the explosive. His brave story was shared by his colleague, Okunima Patrick.He has been buried by the Nigerian Navy. He was aged just 25. Late Seaman was among the young soldiers trained on counter terrorism in Belarus and deployed in Borno state.
He was laid to rest in his hometown, Opume community in Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State recently. He was survived by his parents, twin brother, Silas and other family members. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

FORMER AGF SON,MOHAMMED ADOKE CRASHES FATHER’S N40M PORSCHE CAR
The son of the immediate past Attorney General of the Federation & Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, on Sunday July 5th crashed his father’s 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo which cost about N40m, into a fuel queue in Abuja while racing with some of his friends.
According to the younger Adoke and his friends, who were driving a Mercedes-Benz C class were racing in the city centre of when he lost control around Maitama roundabout leading to Transcorp Hilton hotel and crashed into a fuel queue. See the photos after the cut..

MAYWEATHER MAY LOOSE WORLD BOXING TITLE
Floyd Mayweather may be getting stripped of his championship belt he won against Manny Pacquiao by the World Boxing Organization on the grounds of non-compliance
Mayweather Jr. reportedly had until Friday, July 3, to decide if he would retain the 147-pound belt and allegedly declined the offer paying the $200,000 sanctioning fee that was required to do so.
In addition, Boxing News 24 is reporting that the undefeated boxer also decided against vacating the WBA and WBC junior middleweight titles.
The World Boxing Organization states that a boxer cannot hold world titles in multiple weight classes, and so may be stripping the boxer of his championship belt.
